Long Day

I told you I would write again soon because something exciting was bound to happen.

In summary, I have the best boyfriend in the world. We always play Rock-Paper Scissors to determine who has to hang up first when we Skype, and because I am sick he let me win :) Also, he makes me smile so much, which is always the best feeling after a long, interesting day at work.

David had a really good day at work, which I am thankful for. :) I think part of it has to do with him being able to (finally) sleep in his own bed. His mama was in town from Minnesota so he gave up his bed/room for her, and then Patti (David's sister)'s good friend was in town just after that. So after 2 weeks or so, David finally got to sleep and spend time in his own room, which I know he has been looking forward to.

Tonight at work. Oh my. I work in the Fitting Room and a girl that was working with me tonight came into the FR and told me she wasn't feeling well. After we talked a bit about our symptoms (I have a cold right now too) she told me she was feeling nauseous all day and was going to go home during her break. I told her she needed to let the LOD (Leader on Duty--basically, the manager at the time) know so she didn't just disappear on us all. Well this girl called for the LOD to come back to talk to her and moments later she told me she needed to go to the bathroom because she was going to throw up. She walked about four steps away and immediately turned back around and started throwing up in the garbage can that was sitting right next to me. And if you know me, I do not handle throw up well. So I left in quite a hurry haha. I called the LOD and let her know was happening and after several moments passed the sick girl was finished. She nearly threw up on my head though when I went back in to give her paper towels. It was awful. Another Target employee had to then come and change the garbage bag out and Febreezed the Fitting Room for me. It was a really traumatic experience for all four of us to say the least.

Right after that all happened I got to go on my break, praise the Lord. It was nice to get some fresh air. However I ended up getting a bloody nose and dripped blood down the hallway in an attempt to grab a paper towel.

Like I said, it was a night.

Anyway, I have to be to work tomorrow at 6:00 am so I should probably get to sleep since it is almost 11:30. Nothing like a cold, six hours of sleep and an eight-hour shift ahead of you to make your day complete. Ha. We'll see how tomorrow goes. Hopefully no one will throw up...

:) Haha. Night everyone

  1. You are my hero for going to work despite your many ailments. Seriously. Not everyone (not naming names here) I know would exhibit such commitment. Ha ha, just kidding. :) Feel better soon friend!!!
