Playing Auntie

Hey everyone!! I hope everyone is having a great Wednesday, luckily that means all of us are nearing the end of the week's midpoint and can all look forward to any weekend plans we may have.

I have none. 

However! Today has been a really fun day for me!! David's niece, Emersyn, who has been mentioned several times throughout our blog, and I have been hanging out all day! With Emersyn's mom and dad (David's sister and brother-in-law) at work, and David working today too, that meant that I got the awesome opportunity to hang out with her all day!

I got here at 11:00ish after a quick run through Starbucks. Ali, I got a Vanilla Bean Frappachino and thought of you everytime I had a sip. When I got there Patti gave me all the information on Ems in regards to her eating, napping and activities that I could do. I have babysat before so my debriefing didn't take too long, which meant that Patti and I had more time to just hang out and talk. I have to say I am extremely happy her and I get along so well. It's so fun to hang out with her!

While Patti was up drying her hair, I gave Ems some breakfast (Oatmeal, Flax and Applesauce...yummmm). After breakfast her and I hung a bit until Patti had to leave and then it was bath time! That is always the cutest thing in the world. She splashed in the water for a bit and then I washed her hair and such, got her dressed and then we went back downstairs to 

so she could jump in her jumping contraption (sorry I don't know what they are called). :) We hung out a bit longer but I could tell she was exhausted so I decided to put her down  for a nap. 

Two hours later Ems was up which meant a diaper change and lunch time!! Bless Patti's heart for buying the baby food that comes in jars. I can imagine how scary it would be if she started choking, although I know what to do if that were to ever happen but still. Choking is a scary situation if you ask me. After lunch we went on a walk. :) That was really really fun! We walked around the neighborhood for about a half an hour before my allergies got the best of me. :)

Which brings us up to now! :) I know this is poorly written and choppy, but Emersyn is playing on the ground next to me so I am not overly worried about sentence fluency. :) Forgive me.

Anyway! David (or Uncle) is off work in just over an hour. I can't WAIT to see him!! I haven't seen him in five days. Which you can laugh, but for him and I that is a long time (remember while we are at school we see each other everyday). Regardless, I can't wait to see him!! I am definitely counting down the minutes until I can see him. :)

I know that Patti and Brett are always thankful that I am able to come watch their daughter, but I have to say, I think I should be the thankful one. Not only do I get to spend time with Emersyn playing Auntie, but it is really good practice for me. One day I will be watching my own kids grow and laugh and play. It is going to be so amazing.
